Legendary rock band Deep Purple has released a new single, “Pictures Of You,” from their upcoming album “=1,” set to be released on July 19th by earMUSIC.
In addition to the single, a four-track bundle is available, featuring two previously unreleased live recordings from 2022 in Milan, Italy: “When A Blind Man Cries” and “Uncommon Man.”
For collectors, the physical pre-sale of “Pictures Of You” starts today, with the single being released on CD and 12″ vinyl on June 28th, 2024. Each format is limited to 5,000 pieces worldwide, with each copy numbered by hand.
The official music video for “Pictures of You” will premiere today at 05:00pm CET / 04:00pm BST / 11:00am ET on Deep Purple’s YouTube channel. Following the success of their previous video for “Portable Door,” which quickly surpassed one million views, fans can look forward to seeing the band perform live on stage once again.
The album title “=1” represents the band’s philosophy of unity amidst complexity, promising an album that resonates with their five-decade-long hard rock legacy. Produced by the iconic Bob Ezrin, “=1” captures the classic Deep Purple sound without relying on nostalgia.
