Paramount+ has announced that its new docuseries, Nothin’ But A Good Time: The Uncensored Story Of ’80s Hair Metal, will debut exclusively on the platform later this year. The three-part series, directed by Jeff Tremaine, known for Jackass and The Dirt, will explore the wild and rebellious world of ’80s hard rock.

The docuseries is based on the highly praised book Nothin’ But a Good Time: The Uncensored History of the ’80s Hard Rock Explosion by renowned rock journalists Tom Beaujour and Richard Bienstock. The series promises a raw and unfiltered look at one of the most iconic periods in music history.

Featuring interviews with key figures from the era, the series includes insights from Bret Michaels, Stephen Pearcy, Nuno Bettencourt, Dave “Snake” Sabo, and Riki Rachtman, alongside contributions from Corey Taylor and Steve-O, among many others. Their firsthand accounts offer a vivid portrayal of the decade’s excesses and ambition that captivated generations of music fans and continues to shape popular culture.

“This docuseries is a celebration of the most outrageous decade in rock ‘n’ roll. It’s my love letter to the ’80s,” said director Jeff Tremaine.

The series is expected to captivate audiences with its behind-the-scenes revelations and tributes to the flamboyant and influential era of ’80s hair metal.
