Country music star Darius Rucker made a court appearance on Tuesday regarding drug charges filed against him in Williamson County.
Rucker, renowned as the lead singer of Hootie & the Blowfish and for his successful solo career in country music, faced legal proceedings stemming from an incident on February 1. According to his arrest affidavit, nearly a year after the incident, Rucker was found in possession of psychedelic drugs during a traffic stop in Franklin, Tennessee. The 58-year-old appeared in court before Judge Denise Andre on Tuesday morning, attired in a suit and glasses, for a docket call. Following the brief session, he exited the courtroom, and the case was rescheduled for September 10.
His attorney confirmed that Rucker has been cooperating fully with law enforcement since his arrest earlier this year.
