Legendary hard rock band AC/DC has made a triumphant return to the singles charts, with two of their iconic songs landing on the latest Billboard sales and streaming charts, as reported by Forbes.
The band’s 1980 hit “You Shook Me All Night Long,” from their renowned “Back In Black” album, has surged to No. 9 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart. Additionally, it has secured the No. 3 spot on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart.
Originally peaking at No. 35 on the U.S. Hot 100 charts upon its release in 1980, “You Shook Me All Night Long” also reached No. 11 on Billboard’s Hot Rock and Alternative Songs chart in 2017. The song was honored with the No. 10 spot on VH1’s “The 100 Greatest Songs of the 1980s” list and ranked No. 287 on Rolling Stone’s “Top 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.”
Another hit single for the band, “Thunderstruck,” from their 1990 album “The Razors Edge,” has claimed the No. 13 position on Billboard’s Rock Digital Song Sales chart this week. The track previously dominated the Hard Rock Digital Sales chart in 2012, reached No. 5 on the Mainstream Rock chart in late 1990, No. 16 on the Digital Songs chart, and No. 9 on the Rock Streaming Chart.
AC/DC’s enduring popularity and the resurgence of these classic tracks underscore the band’s lasting impact on the rock music landscape.
