Set against the scenic backdrop of Newcastle Foreshore, this new event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, promising to become a standout on the Australian music calendar.
Hailing from Kentucky, Tyler Childers is celebrated for his soulful vocals and evocative songwriting. He seamlessly blends traditional country roots with modern narratives, earning widespread acclaim and seven Grammy nominations.
Greg “Moe” Mathew, promoter of Howlin’ Country, expressed his enthusiasm for bringing the festival to Newcastle, noting the city’s deep-seated connection to country music. Mathew envisions Howlin’ Country as not only a celebration of the genre but also a platform for local fans to embrace its global appeal and introduce newcomers to its richness.
