The downtown area of Louisa is gearing up for the Shaping Our Appalachian Region (SOAR) Country Music Highway Tribute Show, which will kick off this Friday.
This two-day event will feature performances from a lineup of renowned artists, including Noah Thompson, Ricky Skaggs, and Kentucky Thunder, among others.
Music lovers can enjoy live performances from 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, and from 9:45 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 13. The festivities will be held near Main Street Park, where food vendors will also be on hand.
Louisa Mayor Harold Slone emphasized the significance of the event for the community, anticipating a large turnout. “It’s always an honor here in Louisa. We have so many artists from our county, our city, and our region. To bring them all back to our city for a concert is a tremendous honor for all of us, and I know all the residents are looking forward to it,” said Slone.
For convenience, free parking and shuttle service will be available. The shuttle will operate from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, with pickup locations at Lawrence County High School (100 Bulldog Ln, Louisa, KY 41230) and Louisa Plaza (220 Town Hill Rd, Louisa, KY 41230).
