Big Sean has found himself embroiled in a new conflict, this time with Kanye West’s fanbase, following an alleged leak of his upcoming album. The leak surfaced shortly after a freestyle on On the Radar led some listeners to believe that Big Sean’s lyrics were aimed at Kendrick Lamar, who has been in the spotlight for his ongoing rivalry with Drake.
In his recent freestyle, Big Sean rapped, “I got better things to do than find someone to beef with.” While this line was initially thought to be a jab at Lamar, DJ Hed clarified on X (formerly Twitter) that the comment was not directed at Lamar but at someone else entirely.
The situation escalated when fourteen tracks from Big Sean’s anticipated album were leaked online, with the uploader, identified as bigseandon811, making a statement that the leak was a response to what they perceived as disrespect toward West. The user also claimed that West himself had instructed them to release the unauthorized tracks.
The leak has added fuel to an already tense atmosphere in the hip-hop community, where recent months have seen a rise in confrontations and rivalries.
