Miranda Lambert’s forthcoming album Postcards From Texas will feature a notable collaboration with fellow Texan and country star Parker McCollum. The album, set for release on September 13, includes the duet “Santa Fe,” penned by Lambert, Jesse Frasure, Jessie Jo Dillon, and Dean Dillon.
McCollum expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration on X, stating, “Absolutely honored to be a part of this album. Been a huge fan of Miranda since I was just a kid, so to have the opportunity to collaborate with her is truly a dream come true. One of the greatest talents this business has ever seen.”
This isn’t the first time Lambert and McCollum have worked together. Lambert co-wrote “Falling Apart” with McCollum and Jon Randall for his 2021 album Gold Chain Cowboy. Additionally, McCollum opened for Lambert during her 2019 Wild Card Tour.
McCollum, who has achieved three No. 1 Billboard Country Airplay hits with “Pretty Heart,” “To Be Loved By You,” and “Burn It Down,” recently praised Lambert’s performance after attending her Las Vegas residency. “Absolutely remarkable performance. And an even better person. Deserves nothing but respect,” he wrote.
Postcards From Texas marks Lambert’s first release since signing with Republic Records earlier this year. With seven chart-topping albums, three Grammy Awards, and 14 Country Music Association Awards, Lambert is poised to add to her impressive list of accolades with this new project.
