Shaboozey has achieved his first No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart with his debut single “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” The track, which interpolates J-Kwon’s 2004 hip-hop classic “Tipsy,” climbed to the top of the chart dated August 3, marking a significant milestone for the Virginia native, born Collins Obinna Chibueze.
Between July 19 and 25, the song saw a 14% increase in audience impressions, reaching 31.4 million, according to Luminate. This crossover hit has also made an impressive impact on multiple charts, becoming the first song to break into the top 10 on Country Airplay, Rhythmic Airplay, Pop Airplay, and Adult Pop Airplay simultaneously. Currently, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” holds its highest positions on Rhythmic Airplay (No. 4), Pop Airplay (No. 5), and Adult Pop Airplay (No. 6).
This achievement not only marks Shaboozey’s first radio chart crown but also underscores his unique ability to blend genres and appeal to a diverse audience.
