British singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone has been announced as a supporting act for Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium in London on August 16, 2024. Humberstone will join Swift and Paramore for one night of the global superstar’s London headline shows, performing before an audience of 90,000.
In a statement, Humberstone expressed her excitement and gratitude: “The hardest secret I’ve ever had to keep. As if I get to support Taylor Swift at The Eras Tour!!!! Pinch me!! Taylor, thank you, thank you, thank you. I am eternally grateful and what an honor. I have no words and I can’t f***in wait for the 16th! See you at Wembley!”
This summer, Humberstone sold out her 17-date North American tour, which included two headline shows at Brooklyn Steel. Upon returning to the UK, she supported Kings Of Leon and performed at Truck Festival and Tramlines. Now, she is set to perform at Wembley Stadium, marking the largest audience of her career.
Humberstone’s debut album, Paint My Bedroom Black, released last year, received critical acclaim and reached the top 5. The album reflects her journey from an aspiring artist at her parent’s piano to becoming a prominent figure in alternative pop. Notable tracks from the album include the singles “Into You Room,” “Kissing In Swimming Pools,” and “Superbloodmoon,” the latter featuring d4vd. The album’s themes of personal introspection and emotional revelation are central to her songwriting.
Earlier this year, Humberstone, a BRIT Award winner and Ivor Novello nominee, headlined a sold-out Eventim Apollo in London and released the Work In Progress EP. This collection of four tracks features older demo versions alongside more recent material, showcasing her evolving artistry. The EP includes the lead single “Down Swinging,” a collaboration with Rob Milton and Ben Leftwich, and features a new track with Flyte’s Will Taylor and producer Andrew Sarlo (known for his work with Big Thief and Bon Iver).
