Tim Hicks, headliner for the Groundwater Country Music Festival, has revealed plans for a special Sydney side show before the festival. The Canadian country star will perform at The Beer Shed on October 18.
Tickets for the Sydney concert are now available via TryBooking, with general admission priced at $45 and VIP tickets, which include early entry and priority seating, priced at $75. This will mark Hicks’ first-ever ticketed event in Sydney.
Following his Sydney performance, Hicks will head to Broadbeach to headline the Groundwater Country Music Festival. The three-day event, held on the Gold Coast, features a lineup of country music greats including Kasey Chambers, Shannon Noll, Felicity Urquhart & Josh Cunningham, and Gord Bamford. Other performers include Taylor Moss, Max Jackson, Christie Lamb, Josh Setterfield, Jayne Denham, Robbie Mortimer, and Toyota Star Maker winner Wade Forster.
In a release, Hicks expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming tour, stating, “I can’t wait to get back down to Australia to see all our Aussie friends in October! I sense more than a few shoeys in our future.”
