Country artist Walker Hayes is preparing for his upcoming performance in Vail, marking a significant milestone in his career. Over the past 12 months, Hayes has experienced a dramatic transformation, with his hit single “Fancy Like” propelling him from small club gigs to headlining major arenas.
Reflecting on his unexpected success, Hayes recounted a memorable moment from the early days of his tour after the pandemic. During a concert, he jokingly predicted that “Fancy Like” would achieve quadruple platinum status. “I made a joke on stage just because I loved it so much,” Hayes said in a recent phone interview. “I said, ‘This song is going to go quadruple platinum.’ And I just smiled. I was laughing.”
