The Red Hot Chili Peppers have wrapped up their highly acclaimed Unlimited Love Tour, securing their place among the top three rock tours of the decade. The tour, which began in June 2022, supported the band’s two #1 studio albums released that year, Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen. The title track “Black Summer” from Unlimited Love earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Rock Song in 2023.
The tour’s final leg culminated on July 30, 2024, at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis, MO, marking the end of a global trek that spanned 86 headline dates across 20 countries. The extensive tour included 66 stadium shows and attracted a staggering 3.4 million attendees. Notably, it was the band’s first headline stadium tour in Europe, the UK, and North America.
In addition to their tour finale, the Red Hot Chili Peppers performed at the Closing Ceremony of the Paris 2024 Games. The event celebrated the handover of the Olympic Flag from Paris to Los Angeles, the host city for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The ceremony featured a vibrant beach party atmosphere, showcasing a blend of LA’s music, entertainment, and sports culture while offering a glimpse of what to expect in 2028.
Throughout the Unlimited Love Tour, the Red Hot Chili Peppers shared the stage with a diverse array of special guests, including A$AP Rocky, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Beck, City and Colour, DOMi & JD BECK, HAIM, Ice Cube, Iggy Pop, Ken Carson, King Princess, Otoboke Beaver, Post Malone, Seun Kuti & Fela’s Egypt 80, St. Vincent, The Mars Volta, The Roots, The Strokes, Thundercat, Wand, and more.
During the final 18-date leg of the tour, which began on May 28, 2024, in Ridgefield, WA, the band also engaged in community outreach by partnering with local dog adoption agencies at each tour stop to promote the adoption of dogs in need.
