NBC and Peacock have unveiled the nominations for the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards, with Zach Bryan topping the list. He is joined by prominent nominees including Beyoncé, Kacey Musgraves, Shaboozey, Kane Brown, Morgan Wallen, and Luke Combs.
The awards show, which debuted last year, has expanded its categories this time to include female song, male song, group/duo song, cover song, new artist song, and storyteller song.
At the inaugural 2023 ceremony, Jelly Roll was the standout winner with four awards, followed by Morgan Wallen with three. The late Toby Keith was honored with the country icon award, and Wynonna Judd received the special country champion award.
Shania Twain will host the 2024 event, set to air live on NBC and Peacock on September 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. Twain, who is also nominated for the concert tour of 2024 for her Las Vegas residency, expressed her excitement about the show. “Country has some of the most passionate fans in music, and us artists are so lucky to be supported in doing what we love,” Twain said. “Get ready for an unforgettable show with lots of big hair, glamour, rhinestones, hats, boots, and incredible performances. Giddy up!”
