Taylor Swift has reached out to families affected by a tragic stabbing incident at a children’s dance class in Southport last month, where three schoolgirls were killed and ten others injured. Over the weekend, during her string of sold-out concerts at Wembley Stadium in London, Swift invited some of the affected families to join her backstage.
A mother who attended the meeting posted on TikTok, sharing photos of her daughters with Swift. She expressed gratitude, writing, “You drew stars around my scar …. The biggest thank you to @TaylorSwift and her mum for making the most magical night possible for us all. Thank you for bringing Hope & Autumn pure happiness last night & always.”
Swift had previously expressed her shock and sorrow over the incident, stating, “The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I’m just completely in shock. The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families and first responders. These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families.”
Taylor Swift will conclude the European leg of her Eras Tour with a final performance in London on Tuesday before heading back to North America for the remainder of the tour, which continues until mid-December.
