Hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks, consisting of Jordan Stephens and Harley Alexander-Sule, are set to release their first new track in eight years. The single, titled “Javelin,” will drop on August 30, marking their first new music since the 2016 release of “Slurp!”
The duo shared their excitement on Instagram, along with a preview of the music video, stating, “Our first single back and we couldn’t be more excited to show you what we’ve been working on together. It’s been so incredible seeing how many of you have stuck around and we’re so grateful for all the support already. Pre-save in bio. LET’S GO.”
Rizzle Kicks, known for hits like “Down With The Trumpets,” have previously released two studio albums: Stereo Typical in 2011 and Roaring 20s in 2013.
Outside of their music, Jordan Stephens has been involved in his girlfriend Jade Thirlwall’s solo project. The 32-year-old artist has been dating the former Little Mix member, Jade Thirlwall, 31, since 2020. Jordan expressed his enthusiasm for their creative collaboration, stating on the Straight Up podcast, “The big part of the relationship is sharing creative ideas. I absolutely love that. I love having her in the studio and I love going to the studio with her. I like telling her my ideas.”
In related news, Jade Thirlwall has addressed the future of Little Mix, asserting that a reunion is on the horizon. In an interview with Australian radio, she clarified, “Everyone knows how much I am obsessed with Little Mix. The reunion will absolutely happen when the time is right, for sure. It would be silly not to. I think sometimes when you say ‘hiatus’, people are like, ‘Sure! It’s over’. We’re like, ‘No, we genuinely mean we’ll come back’. I promise! I promise!”
