Lana Del Rey is preparing to release her upcoming album Lasso, which she has described as a country record. Despite this shift, Del Rey reassures fans that the new album will not stray far from her established sound.
In an interview with Vogue before her performance at Paris’ Rock en Seine festival on August 21, Del Rey discussed the project. “All my albums are somewhat rooted in Americana, unless it’s an album like Honeymoon which has a jazz flair, so I don’t think it will be a heavy departure,” she explained.
Del Rey noted that Lasso will feature a lighter lyrical approach and a production style influenced by classic country, American, or Southern Gothic elements, aligning with the Americana feel present in much of her previous work.
