This summer, the Vail Valley has resonated with the sounds of local musicians, offering live performances that go beyond the typical après-ski tunes. From après-bike to après-hike, and even après-golf, these talented artists have been entertaining residents and visitors alike as they unwind from their daily adventures. But beyond the familiar covers, these musicians have been hard at work crafting original music, eager to share their new creations with the community.
Tim & Taylor, a Nashville-based country duo who have been captivating Vail Valley audiences since 2016, recently released their latest music video, “The Whiskey Still Burns.” The release was celebrated earlier this month with a video premiere party at the 10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirits Company’s Tasting Room on Bridge Street in Vail. The choice of venue was more than symbolic; the duo frequently performs there and has a deep connection to the distillery, where the video was also filmed.
“It was perfectly fitting to film this video in a whiskey distillery, and 10th Mountain Whiskey has always been so good to us,” said Taylor Gore. “We just love Ryan [Thompson, owner of 10th Mountain Whiskey] and the crew, and the brand and product, and couldn’t be more grateful for their support over the years.” The song itself was inspired by a shot of 10th Mountain Whiskey, making the collaboration all the more meaningful.
As these artists continue to evolve, the Vail Valley community remains an essential part of their journey, offering both a stage and inspiration for their growing body of work.
