Lizzo has revealed she is taking a year off from her career, enjoying a retreat on the Indonesian island of Bali. The “About Damn Time” singer shared a serene photo on Instagram, showing herself in a one-piece swimsuit on a balcony, surrounded by lush forest and a rain shower.
In her Instagram update, Lizzo wrote, “I’m taking a gap year & protecting my peace.” Over the weekend, she posted various glimpses of her vacation, including photos from her holiday home and the pool, humorously noting, “Unfortunately I’ll be posting way too many bikini pics.”
Earlier this year, Lizzo opened up about her mental health, stating in May that she was experiencing her happiest period in ten months. She reflected on her struggle with depression, saying, “The dark cloud that followed me every day is finally clearing up. My smile reaches my eyes again and that’s a win.”
In August 2023, Lizzo faced a lawsuit from three former tour dancers who alleged sexual misconduct and hostile work conditions. Lizzo has denied the accusations, calling them “sensationalised stories.” The lawsuit is currently on hold.
