Country music fans in Texarkana are in for a treat on Friday, October 4, 2024, when A Thousand Horses takes the stage at Whiskey River Country Club. With tickets already on sale, anticipation is high for what promises to be a sold-out show.
A Thousand Horses first made waves in 2015 with their debut album Southernality and the chart-topping single “Smoke,” capturing the hearts of country music lovers everywhere. Nearly a decade later, the band is back with their latest single, “Highway Sound,” which marks an exciting new chapter for the Nashville-based quartet.
After a two-year break from releasing new music, A Thousand Horses has returned with renewed energy, thanks in part to the creative freedom they’ve found in launching their own label, Highway Sound Records. Produced by GRAMMY Award-winner Jon Randall, “Highway Sound” blends Southern Rock, Classic Country, and Americana, creating a sound that feels both nostalgic and innovative. The single was born from a weekend of creative collaboration in a Texas farmhouse, resulting in what frontman Michael Hobby describes as their most dynamic track to date.
A Thousand Horses’ debut album, Southernality, reached #3 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, and “Smoke” became the first debut single by a group to hit #1 on the Country Airplay charts that decade. Now, in 2024, the band is gearing up for a 16-show spring headline tour and the release of their highly anticipated full-length album, The Outside, later this year.
Don’t miss your chance to see A Thousand Horses live as they bring their electrifying energy to Texarkana’s Whiskey River Country Club.
