Legendary country music artist Willie Nelson and his band, Willie Nelson & Family, are set to perform at Doggett Ford Pavilion in Beaumont on Sunday, October 20, at 7 p.m. Tickets for this highly anticipated event will be available starting Friday, August 30, at noon, through the Doggett Ford Park website and the box office located at 5115 Interstate 10 South in Beaumont.
Claudio Oliveira, General Manager of Doggett Ford Park, expressed excitement about the upcoming show, stating, “We are thrilled to add another great concert to our fall lineup with legend Willie Nelson. It will be a memorable night and a bucket list event for many in our area.”
Willie Nelson’s illustrious career spans over seven decades, during which he has earned numerous accolades as a musician, author, actor, and activist. Nelson remains a vital and innovative force in both music and culture. In recent years, he has released over a dozen new albums, published a Top 10 New York Times bestseller, headlined major events such as Farm Aid and his annual Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic, and received the prestigious Gershwin Prize for Popular Song from the Library of Congress. His influence extends beyond music; he has also launched successful cannabis brands and graced the covers of prominent magazines like Rolling Stone and AARP The Magazine.
Nelson continues to produce new work into his 90s, starting this decade with the release of four new albums, including the Grammy Award-winning “A Beautiful Time” (2022), and three books. In 2023, he celebrated his 90th birthday with a star-studded concert at the Hollywood Bowl, which was later released as a feature film. The year also saw the debut of a five-part documentary series, “Willie Nelson & Family,” at the Sundance Film Festival, along with the release of a new album, “I Don’t Know a Thing About Love,” which pays tribute to songwriter Harlan Howard.
Nelson is currently headlining the Outlaw Music Festival Tour, which runs from June to October. This fall, he will release two new projects: an album titled “Bluegrass,” featuring newly recorded versions of 12 of his classic songs, and a book, “Energy Follows Thought,” offering insights into the stories behind the lyrics of 160 of his favorite songs. The book also includes never-before-seen photos and memorabilia and will be released on October 31.
In November, Nelson will be inducted into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, further solidifying his status as an American music icon. Despite his long career, Nelson shows no signs of slowing down, continuing to write, perform, and create with the passion and wisdom that have defined his legendary journey.
