Rising country music star Cody Cozz is making waves in the industry, bringing a piece of his hometown’s heritage to a national audience. A Pueblo West High School alum and CSU Pueblo student, Cozz has transitioned from local performer to Nashville-based artist, and he’s now set to perform at the 2024 Colorado State Fair alongside country legend Trace Adkins.
In a recent interview, Cozz credited social media for expanding his reach and connecting him with fans across Colorado. His latest single, “Where I’ve Been Lately,” pays tribute to his hometown of Pueblo, reflecting his desire to showcase Colorado’s rich Western heritage.
Despite relocating to Nashville, Cozz often reflects on the close-knit community he left behind. He values the strong support network he received from Pueblo, attributing much of his success to the community’s unwavering encouragement.
“When I was invited to return to Pueblo for the State Fair, I was overjoyed and accepted immediately,” Cozz said. Performing on the same stage where he once watched his musical heroes is a profound and fulfilling experience for him.
This performance not only marks a significant milestone in Cozz’s career but also highlights his enduring connection to his roots.
