Country music star Rory Feek is currently embroiled in a family dispute, as his two adult daughters accuse him of endangering their youngest sister, Indiana. Feek, who married his daughter’s teacher in July, eight years after the death of his wife Joey Feek, now faces allegations from daughters Heidi and Hopie Feek.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Heidi Feek revealed that she and her sister are considering legal action against their father. They claim that Rory has severed their access to Indiana, cutting off regular communication that had been a part of their lives since her birth. “This is a devastating change for her because we’ve been in her life since the day she was born,” Heidi said. “She’s even come to stay with us once a month for most of her life.”
Rory Feek responded to the accusations in a blog post on August 31, 2024, addressing the claims made by his daughters. He stated that while Indiana is free to contact her sisters at any time, she is no longer permitted to spend the night with them. Rory explained that the decision was made after he felt his wishes were not respected during previous visits.
The family’s turmoil intensified when Heidi and Hopie reported that Rory had canceled their planned visits to Alabama and restricted their ability to send pictures and videos to Indiana. They also mentioned an incident where Indiana allegedly wandered into traffic, which they claim Rory used for personal publicity rather than addressing the safety concern.
Rory Feek, who lost his wife Joey to cancer in 2016, had developed a close bond between Indiana and her sisters. However, Heidi reported that their relationship with Indiana began to deteriorate about three years ago, with limited opportunities to see or communicate with her since then.
