K-pop sensation NewJeans has reached a remarkable milestone, surpassing five billion combined streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform. The achievement was announced by their agency, Adore, on Monday.
As of the end of August, NewJeans’ catalog has accumulated a total of 50.1 billion streams, just over two years after the group’s debut.
The group previously set a record in March of last year when they became the fastest K-pop artists to reach one billion streams on Spotify, a feat recognized by the UK’s Guinness World Records.
NewJeans boasts 13 tracks with over 100 million streams each on the platform. Notable among them are “OMG” with over 700 million streams, “Ditto” and “Super Shy,” each surpassing 600 million streams, and “Hype Boy,” which has exceeded 500 million streams.
The group’s music enjoys the highest streaming numbers in the United States, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, Taiwan, and Thailand.
