Parker McCollum has unveiled his latest single, “What Kinda Man,” marking a return to the sound that launched his career. The song represents a personal and professional homecoming for the country star, reconnecting with the musical style that initially defined him.
In a recent press release, McCollum expressed his enthusiasm for the new track: “I could not be more excited to share this new music with the world, especially this new single ‘What Kinda Man.’ Lately, I’ve been coming back to this sound and the roots of where I started out. I think this new song is my way of revisiting that and creating something that feels like home to me and my fans. I hope the world loves it.”
The single, now available on digital platforms, will make its debut on country radio on Monday. McCollum will also perform “What Kinda Man” for the first time on television during the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards. The awards show will air live from Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House on September 26 at 8 p.m. ET, with coverage on NBC and Peacock.
In addition to his solo work, McCollum can be heard on “Santa Fe,” a duet with Miranda Lambert from her recently released album, Postcards From Texas.
