Clint Black humorously set the tone, suggesting the audience lower their expectations for a casual performance featuring just the artists, their guitars, and candid reflections on music and life. The 75-minute show saw Black, Keen, McCreery, and Pearce exchanging songs with a blend of humor and heartfelt moments.
Highlights included a playful exchange between the 68-year-old Keen and 62-year-old Black, who shared lyrical anecdotes and engaged in a running joke about their age difference compared to 30-year-old McCreery. The younger artist, who admitted to growing up listening to his older peers, performed his song “No Country for Old Men,” prompting Black to jest about its personal implications and counter with a song he wrote before McCreery was born.
Pearce, the sole female performer of the night, delivered a breathtaking accompaniment to Black’s 1993 hit “A Bad Goodbye,” adding to the evening’s allure.
