Country music artist Neal McCoy, born Hubert Neal McGaughey Jr. on July 30, 1958, in Jacksonville, Texas, is set to perform at a concert benefiting the East Texas Angel Network. Known for his distinctive blend of Irish and Filipino heritage, McCoy has been a prominent figure in country music since the early 1990s and currently resides in Longview, Texas.

McCoy began his career as an opening act for legendary country singer Charley Pride and has since built an impressive portfolio, including the release of the live concert DVD Neal McCoy Live in July 2006, which features 14 of his greatest hits recorded at the Hodag Country Music Festival in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.

In 2004, he established his own record label, 903 Music, launching with the hit single “Billy’s Got His Beer Goggles On,” which climbed into the Top 10 on the Hot Country Songs chart in 2005. However, in May 2007, McCoy announced the closure of 903 Music after the label filed for bankruptcy.

As he prepares for this upcoming concert, McCoy continues to be a beloved figure in the country music scene, known for his engaging performances and community involvement.
