In surprising news for country music fans, Winnipeg-based band Petric has announced they are taking a hiatus from their musical career. The group, known for their chart-topping singles and vibrant performances, shared this decision through their official Instagram account.
Petric, formed in March 2014, has been a significant presence in the Canadian country music scene for the past ten years. Comprised of brothers Jason and Tom Petric and their longtime friend Jordan Day, the band expressed the need for a break in their heartfelt post, reflecting on their decade of highs and lows: “We were in our early 20s when we started this band, and now we are well into our 30s. We are at a point where we need a break. This isn’t forever, but it is for now.”
As a result of this announcement, Petric will not proceed with their scheduled fall shows, and they have assured fans that refunds will be issued for any pre-purchased tickets.
