With Halloween falling on a Thursday, numerous activities are lined up for both the night itself and the weekend prior. Here’s a look at some of the standout performances.
On Halloween night, horror-rock band Black Eyes and Neckties will reunite to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album, Stiletto. This special event will take place at the Shakedown, featuring support from The Cathoholix and Venenosum. After a significant hiatus, this reunion marks a much-anticipated return for fans.
Although the Grateful Dead may not be the first name that springs to mind for Halloween festivities, local tribute band The Sleepy Alligators has embraced the theme. They will host The Dead Will Rise at Boundary Bay Brewery, a popular event that fans should consider securing tickets for in advance.
Saturday, October 26, emerges as the unofficial Halloween music hub, with various events scheduled. Boundary Bay will host the annual Misfits tribute show, Horror Business, while Make.Shift presents the Spooky Covers Show, featuring nine impromptu bands paying homage to their favorite spooky punk, metal, and alt-rock acts.
For those seeking a festive atmosphere without the fright factor, Bar Two Eleven will feature an ’80s tribute night with the Neon Shadows on October 26, promising an evening filled with vibrant costumes.
