Multi-platinum hard rock band Breaking Benjamin has released their latest single, “Awaken,” marking their first new music since 2018. The track, which is available now, comes as part of the band’s recent global recording agreement with BMG, representing their first change in label affiliation in over two decades.
Guitarist Jasen Rauch shared insight into the creative process behind “Awaken.” “Working on this song has been something new and exciting for all of us,” Rauch said. “We’ve had the chance to explore our roots while also pushing boundaries. Musically, we’ve made a conscious effort to stay true to the Breaking Benjamin sound while offering a fresh take.”
Breaking Benjamin has consistently dominated the rock charts since the release of their debut album, Saturate, in 2002. With a staggering 10 No. 1 hits, platinum-certified albums, over 8.5 billion global streams, and a social media following exceeding 6.5 million, the band has cemented its influence on the global rock scene. Their last album, Aurora, achieved a milestone with its hit single “Far Away” featuring Scooter Ward, earning them their tenth No. 1 rock radio single.
