Ringo Starr, the legendary drummer of The Beatles, is set to release his first full-length album in six years—a country-inspired record titled Look Up. Scheduled to drop on January 10 through Universal, the album marks a significant return to the genre for Starr, who last dabbled in country music with his 1970 sophomore album Beaucoups of Blues.

Produced and co-written by Grammy-winning producer T Bone Burnett, Look Up features 11 tracks with Starr singing and playing drums throughout. The album also boasts an impressive lineup of guest artists, including Alison Krauss, Billy Strings, Larkin Poe, Lucius, and Molly Tuttle.

The first single, “Time on My Hands,” has already been released, giving fans a taste of what’s to come. Starr’s previous full-length, What’s My Name, came out in 2019, followed by a series of five EPs, including Zoom In and Change the World in 2021, EP3 in 2022, Rewind Forward in 2023, and the recently released Crooked Boy.

To celebrate the release of Look Up, Starr will perform two headlining shows at Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium on January 14 and 15. Fans can look forward to a blend of Starr’s signature drumming style and country flair, as he continues to expand his musical legacy.
