Rising country star Carter Faith has gained significant recognition after being featured on Bon Iver’s much-anticipated new EP, SABLE, the Grammy-winning band’s first collection in over five years. Faith lends her voice as a backing vocalist on “Awards Season,” one of the EP’s emotional highlights.
“Getting asked to sing on this Bon Iver song is definitely the craziest thing to happen to me so far,” Faith shared. “I got a call that Justin [Vernon] wanted to try my voice on a song because he loved my song ‘Greener Pasture.’ It was such a whirlwind magical experience.”
Faith also reflected on her personal connection to Bon Iver, stating, “I am obviously honored to be on the song because Bon Iver is one of the greatest artists of our generation, but personally, it feels very full circle.” She revealed that the first song she ever performed on stage with her guitar was “Skinny Love,” highlighting the deep roots of her admiration for the band.
