Cambio, the renowned local rock supergroup, is set to reunite for a special one-night-only performance this Saturday, October 26, at the GABOOM! event in Mandaluyong City. The band, which features members from iconic groups like Eraserheads, Sugarfree, and Fatal Posporos, will take the stage at 123 Block in response to a personal request from event curator and drummer Mike Dizon (Sandwich, Teeth, Pedicab).
Cambio, composed of Raymund Marasigan (Sandwich, Pedicab), Buddy Zabala (Moonstar88), Kris Dancel (Fatal Posporos, Duster), Ebe Dancel (Sugarfree), and Diego Mapa (Eggboy, Tarsius), made their mark with two albums, Derby Light (2004) and Matic (2007). Their last performance was in November 2019 for The Rest Is Noise music showcase. Their highly anticipated return is part of the GABOOM! lineup, alongside Dizon’s own bands—Sandwich, Teeth, and Pedicab—as well as One Click Straight, Blaster & The Celestial Klowns, and Party Pace.
Dizon emphasized that GABOOM! is not a typical music festival but rather a “gathering of friends,” made even more special by the Cambio reunion. “It’s more of a celebration, especially since 2024 is coming to a close,” he said.
Attendees can expect a large stage, food and merchandise booths, and exciting performances throughout the night. Dizon also encouraged people to bring their families and pets to enjoy the festivities. Pre-sale tickets are available for PHP 1000 until October 24, while tickets at the gate will be sold for PHP 1500 on the day of the event.
