Lil Yachty has recently unveiled three new songs, but the surprise release has sparked controversy with accusations from a fellow Atlanta rapper.
On Sunday, Yachty dropped “Cry Me a River,” “All Around the World,” and “We Ball Forever,” showcasing his artistic growth and versatility. However, the track “We Ball Forever” quickly drew the ire of rapper and producer Curtis Williams, a former member of the ATL rap collective Two-9. Williams accused Yachty of imitating his style, particularly criticizing the use of a fisheye lens in the music video for the song.
To substantiate his claim, Curtis Williams shared a side-by-side comparison on Instagram, juxtaposing Yachty’s “We Ball Forever” with his own recent video. The side-by-side footage highlights striking similarities in the filming style, further intensifying the accusations of style appropriation.
