On October 22, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum received the prestigious National Medal of Arts during a ceremony at the White House. This honor marks the museum as the only institution among 20 recipients recognized for their outstanding contributions to the arts in the United States, alongside a select group of individuals.

Kyle Young, CEO of the museum, expressed pride in this acknowledgment, noting its validation of country music’s cultural significance. “Our museum and country music itself were both born of humble beginnings—an origin that led many to overlook the art form,” he stated, reflecting on the institution’s long-standing dedication to preserving the genre’s legacy. He emphasized that the medal affirms their mission of collecting and cherishing country music while embracing a wide range of American vernacular music.

Founded in Nashville in 1964, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the history of country music through various publications, exhibits, and artifacts. In 2023, it welcomed over 1.6 million visitors and hosted more than 1,200 educational programs.
