Country music star Oliver Anthony has expressed his intention to leave the music industry, labeling his experiences as “a big joke.” The singer made this statement while commenting on an Instagram post, although he did not formally announce his departure.

Anthony’s comments surfaced as he promotes the upcoming Rural Revival Project, organized by Radio WV, which aims to raise funds for hurricane relief. He is scheduled to perform at the event on November 2, alongside The Davisson Brothers, Mikele Buck, Zack Runyon, and a special guest.

In response to a fan praising him as “everything that is right in the music industry,” Anthony replied, “I’m in the process of getting out of the music industry. It’s a big joke.”

Shifting his focus, Anthony plans to pursue traveling ministry work, inspired by the Rural Revival concert. “I just have to go at it in baby steps since it’s completely DIY,” he noted, indicating a desire for a more meaningful direction in his career.
