Country music star Brad Paisley graced the baseball diamond on Friday night, October 25, performing the national anthem at the first game of the World Series between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Accompanied by a striking green electric guitar, Paisley delivered a slowed-down rendition of the U.S. anthem as a massive American flag was unfurled across the field. A dedicated Dodgers fan, this marks Paisley’s fourth time singing the anthem at a World Series event. Ice Cube and Fat Joe are also slated to perform at Games 2 and 3, representing their respective hometowns.
Recently, Paisley released the single “Truck Still Works,” a preview of his upcoming full-length album, expected in early 2025. This will be his first album since 2017 and his first under Universal Music Group Nashville’s EMI Records, following his move from Sony Nashville’s Arista imprint.
Paisley described the project as exploring deeper themes while also focusing on creativity and nostalgia. He emphasized the importance of providing listeners with music that uplifts them during challenging times, stating, “Sometimes, it’s great to give people something they just want to turn up and takes them to a place where they feel good.”
