Country music star Scotty McCreery will take the stage at the Rialto Square Theatre in downtown Joliet on Thursday, January 23.
According to a recent news release from the venue, McCreery made history in 2011 as the first country artist and the youngest male artist across all genres to debut a studio album at Number 1 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 Albums chart with his platinum-certified album, Clear as Day. His latest work, Rise & Fall, features his sixth Number 1 single, “Cab in a Solo,” along with the current single “Fall of Summer” and 12 additional tracks that delve into themes of heartbreak, nostalgia, faith, and fatherhood.
At just 31 years old, McCreery has sold over four million albums and boasts six Number 1 hits, including “Damn Strait,” “You Time,” and “Five More Minutes.” The North Carolina native rose to fame as the winner of the 10th season of American Idol at the age of 17. He has received numerous accolades, including the Academy of Country Music’s New Artist of the Year in 2011 and two CMT Music Awards, highlighting his impact on the country music scene.
