Irish rock music legend Bob Geldof will return to New Zealand early next year for a special tour celebrating his extraordinary life. Titled “An Evening with Bob Geldof: Songs and Stories from an Extraordinary Life,” the show is set to take place in Auckland on March 28 at the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre and in Wellington on March 29 at the Michael Fowler Centre.
At 73, Geldof’s tour coincides with significant milestones: the 50th anniversary of his rock band The Boomtown Rats and the 40th anniversary of the historic Live Aid concert, which he famously organized to raise funds and awareness for famine relief in Africa.
“This tour is more than a musical event; it’s a source of inspiration for all,” said Dustin Lockett from The Entertainment Lab, the tour’s promoting company.
Tickets will be available online starting at 1 PM on November 7.
