Brooklyn Indie Rock Band Overheard Unveils New Single “Juno”

by Barbara

Brooklyn-based indie rock band Overheard has released their latest single, “Juno,” showcasing their distinctive fusion of indie rock, folk, and grunge.

Erin Barth-Dwyer, the band’s vocalist, reflects on the song’s evolution: “When I first wrote ‘Juno,’ I didn’t think it would become an Overheard song. The lyrics, centered on identity and self-discovery, felt too personal. I originally crafted a lush guitar part meant to stand alone. However, the band resonated deeply with the piece and encouraged me to let them contribute additional layers. I’m so glad they did, as I can’t imagine the song any other way now.”

“Juno” is featured on the band’s debut album, Intertwined, which has just been released via Dromedary Records.

Overheard’s eclectic style blends tender melodies with frenetic energy, seamlessly weaving folk elements with rock and grunge. Their dynamic sound navigates between delicate moments and intense catharsis. The band, which originated in the Hudson Valley, now has members based in both Kingston and Brooklyn.
