LEW, the artist formerly known as Lauren Weintraub, is making waves in Nashville with her edgy pop anthems and distinctive style. Although she only rebranded this summer, Weintraub has been a familiar face in the Nashville music scene for the past seven years.
This Saturday, LEW will perform at Emo Night at Marathon Music Works, an event dedicated to celebrating emo and punk music. However, her musical journey began with a more country-pop sound under her legal name, producing hits like “Not Like I’m In Love With You,” “Missing You,” and “She’s Mine.”
At just 25 years old, the Massachusetts native has already graced the Grand Ole Opry stage and participated in numerous country music festivals. Now, she is embracing a sound and aesthetic that resonate more closely with her true self. Her latest single, “Hideous,” released in October, showcases clever hooks and catchy choruses, further defining her new musical identity.
LEW is set to embark on a six-stop tour in February, performing in cities such as Los Angeles, Boston, and New York. Fans can expect a blend of new and previously released material, with her earlier country songs reimagined in pop arrangements.
Her new track, “Dead Inside,” is scheduled for release on November 15, followed by the EP of the same name on January 24.
