British rock legends The Libertines will perform a highly anticipated hometown show as part of the Margate Summer Series on Saturday, July 5, 2025. The iconic band will make their debut at the historic Dreamland venue, with special guests Soft Play and Sports Team also on the bill, with additional acts to be announced.
This performance comes two decades after the release of their seminal debut album Up the Bracket. In 2023, The Libertines returned to the scene with All Quiet on the Eastern Esplanade, their first new album in almost a decade, recorded at The Albion Rooms in Margate, their very own HQ, studio, and events space. The band’s deep ties to the coastal town are further solidified by their role as the headline shirt sponsor for Margate FC.
The Margate Summer Series 2025 promises to be a star-studded event, following the success of the 2024 series, which saw performances by artists like Rudimental, Paloma Faith, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, and Bryan Adams. Fans can look forward to more exciting announcements as additional headliners are revealed.
