Coy Bowles, guitarist and singer for Zac Brown Band, is back with a new album aimed at inspiring both kids and educators. On November 1, Bowles released Up And Up, a follow-up to his 2020 children’s debut Music for Tiny Humans. The 13-track album, recorded with frequent collaborator Carlos Sosa, who has also toured with Zac Brown Band, offers an array of songs that reflect real-life experiences.

“These songs aren’t always just sunshine every day,” Bowles says. “It’s not toxic positivity. There’s real songs about ‘I miss my mom’ or ‘I’m pretty sad right now, but I know things will change and we all go through things.’” Bowles’ approach aims to connect with children on a deeper emotional level while also encouraging resilience.

In addition to his music career, Bowles has been releasing children’s books since 2012. His first, Amy Giggles, Laugh Out Loud, carries a powerful anti-bullying message that has resonated with teachers, many of whom have included it in their classrooms. Bowles, who is passionate about supporting educators, shares, “I want to make it my life’s purpose to shine light on teachers and let them know how important they are to our society as of now and the future.”

Up And Up is available now, continuing Bowles’ mission to bring thoughtful, impactful content to young listeners and the educators who shape their lives.
