A$AP Ferg is opening up like never before on his latest album DAROLD, released via RCA Records. The album features 15 tracks, including previously released singles “Allure” with Future and Mike WiLL Made-It, and “Thought I Was Dead.” It also introduces new collaborations such as “French Tips” with Coco Jones, which samples Brandy’s classic “I Wanna Be Down,” and includes appearances by DD Osama, Denzel Curry, Mary J. Blige, Dapper Dan, and more.

The 36-year-old rapper reveals that DAROLD is his most personal album to date. Speaking to his fans on Instagram, Ferg explained that this project offers a deeper, more intimate side of him. “I gave people A$AP Ferg, Hood Pope, Trap Lord… Now I want to give them the guy behind the guy,” he shared. “This record is definitely super personal. I’m touching on topics that I’ve never spoken about before.”

The album’s title is a nod to Ferg’s birth name, Darold Brown Ferguson. In an even more personal touch, the rapper designed the cover art himself, inspired by his return to painting during the pandemic. “The therapeutic nature of brush on canvas put me in a zone,” Ferg wrote. “I decided I’d just do all my single covers myself. The vibe was fresh and I was back hooked on painting again.”

DAROLD represents a significant artistic and emotional step forward for A$AP Ferg, offering fans a raw glimpse into the artist’s life.
