Mulga Bore Hard Rock has released their debut single Young Men (Younga Barla Mapa), now available through Community Music. The track, which blends raw energy with a modern twist on glam rock, comes after the band’s successful performances at SXSW Sydney and Bigsound.
Originating from the remote community of Mulga Bore, which has fewer than 40 residents, the band’s musical roots run deep in the local culture. Lead singer Alvin Manfong, alongside his family, developed their musical identity in this close-knit community, where they continue to draw inspiration from the vivid landscapes and rich traditions of Central Australia.
Sung in the Anmatjerre language, Young Men encapsulates the essence of their upbringing, celebrating both the strong communal bonds and the unique environment that shaped their sound.
