New Zealand country music duo Rowdy’s Rose, consisting of husband and wife team Rosie and Blair Shaw from Te Awamutu, are making waves in the US country music scene. Just days after winning Best New Artist at the Hugs Radio Awards in Pennsylvania, the duo has been nominated for six awards at the Who’s Hoo Country Music Awards in Columbus, Indiana.
Rosie Shaw expressed gratitude for the recognition, noting the significance of the nominations. “Both of these stations have helped independent artists get signed by major US labels,” she said. “We are honoured to be included among such talented company.”
Rowdy’s Rose, who have consistently ranked in the top 30 and received long-standing support from the radio stations, are now looking ahead to more opportunities as they continue to make their mark in country music.
