Lisa, the global sensation from K-pop powerhouse Blackpink, is taking bold steps in her solo career, recently releasing her single “Rockstar” ahead of her debut album. The rapper and dancer shared the emotional rollercoaster of stepping out on her own.
“I was scared and nervous,” Lisa admitted, reflecting on the leap into solo stardom. But the overwhelming positive reaction to her singles has been a source of healing for her. “It’s like, ‘Oh, my God. Yeah — I did a great job!’” she said, expressing gratitude for the support from her fans.
Breaking away from the traditional K-pop system, where agencies typically manage much of an artist’s career, Lisa took control by founding her own management company and label, Lloud. In the interview, she jokingly proclaimed, “Call me boss — call me Boss Lisa.”
