Sabrina Carpenter has come a long way since her Disney Channel days, and her performance at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles was a testament to her meteoric rise. Once known for her role as the “blond girl” in Olivia Rodrigo’s breakout hit “Drivers License,” Carpenter has now become one of pop’s brightest stars, propelled by her chart-topping album Short n’ Sweet, which hit big in 2024.

Carpenter’s show, a dazzling spectacle set in an imagined Midcentury penthouse high above the city, marked the first of three sold-out nights in LA to close out her North American tour. With hit singles like the peppy “Espresso” and the quirky “Please Please Please,” the 25-year-old singer proved she had more than just catchy hooks — she had the charisma and energy to match.

Her star power was on full display, with Carpenter not only performing fan favorites but also receiving six Grammy nominations, including nods for album, record, and song of the year, as well as Best New Artist. The show exuded a sense of play and whimsy, a refreshing contrast to the more somber tones of earlier pop icons like Lorde and Billie Eilish.

Special guest Christina Aguilera joined Carpenter onstage, adding another layer of excitement to the already electric atmosphere. Carpenter closed the night with “Espresso,” a track that playfully addresses the awkwardness of fame, solidifying her position as one of the industry’s most exciting new talents.
