Country music star and CMA Award winner Lainey Wilson received a special hometown tribute this weekend in Baskin, Louisiana. Wilson, who has quickly become a standout in country music, attended the unveiling of Northeast Louisiana Music Trail markers commemorating her early roots and musical journey.
In addition to the music trail honor, a stretch of Louisiana Highway 15 through Baskin, from LA Highway 577 to the parish line at Big Creek, was officially named the “Lainey Wilson Highway.” The dedication ceremony was attended by Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser, who previously recognized Wilson as a Louisiana Music Ambassador in 2022, highlighting her contributions to the state’s musical heritage.
