British rock band Oasis has announced they will perform in Korea for the first time in 16 years, marking a highly anticipated return to the country. The band shared the news through a teaser on their official social media accounts, featuring text in Korean, English, and Japanese that read “Friday, November 22.”
Accompanying the post was an image of a billboard in Seoul’s Gangnam District, showcasing band members Liam and Noel Gallagher with the Korean phrase “말이 씨가 된다” (words become seeds or what you say can come true), fueling excitement for the upcoming concert.
While the exact venue and date will be confirmed on November 22, the announcement signals the band’s first Korean performance since their 2009 concert. This will be their third visit to the country, following their debut show in 2006. If the concert proceeds as planned next year, it will mark a 16-year gap since Oasis last performed for their Korean fans.
